We stayed in Rotorua, is in the middle of the North Island and is a hyper volcanic zone, and if Chavez came to here say that Bush went spinning because it smells of sulfur all the time. We prefer to call things by their name: the smell of PEO. In any case, is full of spas and heated swimming pools so cool.
In Rotorua we went to Taupo, in the past we use to walk in those things with 2 wheels that go to wherever you want, there are bicycles because they have 2 wheels on an axle. Segway called but we will put the "stuff." Very entertain.
In Taupo we went in jetboat. The jetboats are very fast boats that go in this case by a river and are hyper manoeuvrable. We went as a 10 on a boat and the driver was track champion as much spin, much cuneteo with rocks and trees, etc. It was amazing, we also next to the Huka Falls and did a 360 on the side.
In Taupo Turangi we set out a little farther south to the Tongariro crossing. Which is basically across Mordor (for those who have not read mr. Of the Rings Mordor Vivian is where the hobbits in peace and harmony and took chela). The weather is not with us long and we had to wait a day to be cleared.
For the Tongariro Crossing at 7:30 we start walking and the road was very volcanic and very tourist walk. And the evening began the ascent, which was from the 1100 mts. Up to 1800 meters. It was not as terrible as it was clear it looked very far. We came up without much pain (except for Meche who was crying from 7:32). At the top we took the obligatory pictures next to Mount Doom (for those who did not read the sr. Of the rings is where Frodo went to get the 10 commandments) and we ate some sanguchs and snacks. In any case go to Mt Doom was optional and some crazy Germans left for upload (3 hours).
Then everything was hunky-dory. We walked by a giant crater and start down the other side of the crater fumaroles were some, shall we say, ment. And some gaps calypso incredible. It was all very nice until they started coming out everywhere orcs. Then we discovered the source of the Orcs.
The descent was exhausting so long, the end was like 2 km walk through the woods. We ended the Tongariro Crossing at 6:15 am (the average is 8:00) so we are dry. Upon arrival it was full of old men who had done the walk and not well understood when they pulled up Raimoi to celebrate their great achievement.
Happy to be able to do the Tongariro Crossing we head towards the Coromandel Peninsula beaches to enjoy.
With a beautiful winter days at the beginning did not see much of the beach but we take a stroll through several villages dry insignificant that New Zealanders know how to exploit tourist and not worth to promote them here.
When the weather improved, we went to Hot Water Beach, which as the name says it has hot water. But only at low tide and if you make a hole in some areas specific. It was amazing, because thermal water out from the sand, as 70 degrees. We were then to Cathedral Cove is a beautiful beach but with a little cold water.
continue to the north and came to a steak DOC camping on the beach, we took a swim and do ranasurf (here I say skim board). But as time went on pots and decided to leave. At the end of the beaches were richest in Northland.
Now we're in Auckland and tomorrow we go to Samoa. We leave tomorrow but today (PAF). Santiago Raymie will come out tomorrow and tomorrow at the same time that came out (REPAF).
RAYMOND COLUMN
For the first time in the history of this blog, I agree with all what was written by Meche and Javier, that if you say things by their name (this "we ranasurf" sounds a lot ), Javier deal like 4 times until it started having "mini-injury" and said he would never again take that table "coolie" (pardon the term but that was how he said it, I was quoting myself) part do not know where they could do that my brother said to the table.
Another issue not speak was the subject of insects, I suppose because they have had worse encounters along his journey, but the point is they were a hueveo and finally chose one to let them take out some blood. (Serious error on the half hour, it became a giant welt on top and more bugs have a toxin that is pa I'm sure that will make you the rasquis and will last longer days)
was a pleasure in order to have written in this blog, and show the other side of what happens here. And was also a pleasure to travel with is so nice and fun couple who told me he was going to marry just arrived in Santiago SO WE MARRIAGE!
I say goodbye and I appreciate the supportive comments.
A greeting and a hug to everyone. Raymond Aviles Dorlhiac Atte
PD 1: What the marriage seems that I dreamed so not much fishing.
PD 2: The thing is that things kept sending me to look away from the van with phrases like "why do not you vai Raimundo do the Tongariro Crossing and I will take the time" or "Hueon think there naked women on the mobile home camping input. " If someone can tell me because I said those things are appreciated.
Thanks Raymond, we tell them we come to Samoa, but our luggage did not. Finally recover, and we paid for the delay.
